McQ Pre-Fall 2012
The 1967 film Far from the Madding Crowd was the touchpoint for the darkly aristocratic Pre-Fall 2012 McQ collection. A rich olive green — found on anoraks, military-tinged riding jackets, and quilted biker coats — along with a smattering of tweed and cable knit lent an English countryside vibe, while high-neck collars, ruffled blouses, and fit-and-flare silhouettes added a dose of primness. This being McQ, there was still plenty of accessible edge: wide black belts, cropped leather gloves, and moody prints.
